I agree with the need for Facebook and all social media for marketing and it’s unfortunate. It’s a time sucker and quit honestly I’m not all that social by nature. I’ve considered just popping on and posting or responding to comments on my post but then I feel guilty I’m not scrolling and checking out other’s stuff so I end up in this cycle and before I know it I’ve spent so much time taking in information which serves no purpose to me.

I’m not sure the solution because writing is my livelihood. I need to promote my writing but at the same time I’m taking so much time away from my writing. There’s really no good answer.

Good for you for kicking it for a month. Maybe I’ll try that. I kind of backed off during the Presidential election (I’m sure you can guess why) by only going on once a week and promoting but I certainly can’t consider that going cold turkey.

I really feel ditching social media would be an awesome lifestyle change for my emotional well being but definitely not my bank account.

Thanks for sharing and congrats on your success!
