I feel the self-help genre is always changing. It’s more trendy then other topics, I think. We have come to a point in time where list articles seem to be the way to go because it’s part of the quick fix we’re looking for.

It’s most interesting to me that as a society I believe we spend more time focused on quick fixes than we spend focusing on ourselves and figuring out what we’d like to change whether we consider those changes to be good or bad. It’s almost as if the only real solution is to not look at ourselves at all but instead look elsewhere to mold ourselves into a standard norm- because, hey. It’s the trendy thing to do.
