I honestly don’t think people give a shit about their privacy. I think we live in a technology driven universe where the majority of time is spent trying to out do one another. As with anything, and everything American it’s instant gratification that fuels social media. Facebook hasn’t become what it is because of Facebook, it’s the users that have gotten us to here.

We tell ourselves we need social media to stay connected to friends and family, for marketing our work and business, to stay up to date with current events but this is bullshit. We were able to do all of these things before the internet. It just took more work on our part, hence instant gratification.

Not to mention, the damage that has been done is the same as anyone would do just on a far more larger scale and is in the media everywhere because the word Facebook alone is click bait.

If you’re on the internet, at all, on any site you have given up your privacy.

I view Facebook similar to how I view Hitler. Everyone disliked him but he was only powerful because people gave him power.
