I love cats because our personalities are quite similar. I too am introverted, only want to love and be loved when I feel like it, am loyal and enjoy naps. We connect on a level I’m comfortable with, sharing the same space but often times having little to do with one another. When I wake in the morning I open the back door and there goes a train of cats out into the yard. I sit on the lawn sipping my coffee and wonder if my neighbors think we’re nuts. Then I remember I don’t care what they think.
All of our cats were facing shelters and euthanasia when we rescued them.
Our son found our latest edition, Viktor. When we brought him home my husband said, “Are we going to take in every cat we find?” I said, “No, just the ones that find us.”
