I write a great deal of personal narrative stories. I believe there are pieces of me in each story but there’s still aspects of me most people don’t know.
Here are ten things you might not know about me.
I pay my bills by mailing checks
That’s right. I’m totally old school. There’s the entire geriatric population and me.
I miss Obama
I’m not a big fan of cats
I can see how this statement may be confusing. It’s my son who has crazy cat lady issues. For real, tho. I’m just supportive of him, and an absurdly large pack of cats. I’ve learned to live with, and love them.
I don’t like to eat corn
Even though I live surrounded by 40 million acres of it.
I have no idea what I want to be when I grow up
Right now I’m only focused on continuously growing. Save the lecture. I get it. At some point I’ll have to get my shit together and do something with myself.
I really am an asshole
It’s not a rumor.
I’m afraid of opossums
My kids and I were in the backyard late one night and an opossum jumped off the roof of our house and ran into the garage. My kids chased after him to find him. I was torn. I wanted nothing to do with the opossum but what kind of parent would I be if I left my kids to get mangled?
I don’t own a kayak
Therefore I waste a lot of money on kayak rentals.
I live 10 miles away from a winery and I don’t drink wine
This is a true story. A sad, unfortunate and true story. It’s not that I don’t like wine. It’s more so because I think if I start drinking I’ll eventually end up pounding it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s probably best for all of us if I just don’t.
I don’t like participating in social media trends
But after the 36th person tagged me I figured I’d just share ten things you might not know about me and get it over with.
