I think as a whole we put too much focus on money. Kids graduating college nowadays under the impression they’ll find a gig for 80K a year. I hear my daughter’s friends say it. One was offered a position for $14 an hour and declined because he needs to make more money than that. I have an entirely different mentality. The way i see it, it’s $14 an hour more than he’s making now with no job.

The idea of money should be to survive and save for retirement. Instead, it’s always the newest technology, latest next best thing and all the wants. It’s always about money and never about happiness and the contribution we could and should be making to the world.
