I’m not convinced this relates solely with Millennials. You hit a lot of spot on feelings for me and I was born in the 70’s.
I went to college for eight years and got a PhD in Advanced Behavioral Science, with an emphasis on domestic terrorism. I came out of the gate determined to save America from the forces of its own evil. This was my career (and most likely the reason why I freak out in public places now) and what I learned along the way is that America doesn’t want to be saved from itself. At the same time I also learned that making a positive impact in one person’s life can be a great thing.
P.S. Your essay has planted a seed and I will always remember and reflect back on it. Your legacy building has begun.
