I’m pro ‘don’t write every day.’ Certainly create every day as in writing shitty love quotes, generating a list of story ideas, going out and experiencing something you’ve always wanted to do and then at some point transform that experience into a story, take a shitload of photos of something you love but certainly do not write every day.

I read every day but I’d crap out if I tried to produce quality writing to publish every single day whether it be stories, blog posts or articles.

I do recommend a 30 day challenge once a year of somewhere around the 500 word mark each of those days. It’s good to exercise those muscles but the idea is to write every day whether you write shit or not.

I know there is a ton of information out there saying in order to be a real writer or a good writer you have to write every day but I feel they lack in defining what exactly writing means. Some days I just scribble in sketchbooks while I’m drawing. I mean, technically I’m writing so…

I can only speak from my own experience but I genuinely believe if I did attempt to write top notch every day my writing would suck.

Hence the shitty love quotes, on purpose.
