It’s like a long roller coaster ride. We’d go from scared, to hopeful, to disappointed. I don’t know how else to explain it.
It’s such a common thing these days. Addicts and families caught in a vicious cycle.
Had I not fought the court and pushed the system it might not have turned out how it did.
The US government talks a lot about the war on drugs. Higher prison sentences, government regulated methadone programs but they never suggest education. Instead, often times those who are in recovery contribute their time in hopes of educating and helping others.
If we could change the system we could possibly create more hope.
