None of the above are what have inspired me to read an autobiographies. I’m thirsty for knowledge so my choices are based on people and an event I know nothing about, even if it’s a topic that I’m usually not interested in I’ll read it anyway. There’s always the element of surprise, as with anything. For instance, I read “My Life in France” by Julia Child. Totally not my thing but it ended up being one of the best books I have ever read.
