Okay, a bazillion might be a bit over dramatic, but it’s a whole heck of a lot. So much I’m grateful I went and walked laps around the pond this morning because I haven’t left my desk for six hours since I began looking through them all. I even have nasty cup of cold coffee sitting by my side. I’ve been so focused I’ve forgotten to eat.
There’s so many to sort through all my cats are surrounding me in a comma because I haven’t had the time to pay attention to them.
I haven’t made it through all the lists yet but what I have seen is legit and a great deal of publications I’ve heard of, and read before, and know they’re for real.
It all started when I stumbled upon Beyond Your Blog a few days back and subscribed to their newsletter and then BAM! This appeared in my inbox this morning (luckily after I got my National Heath Institute’s recommended daily requirement for exercise because I’ve been sorting through, submitting and querying ever since.)
Over 1,523 Publications That Are Paying Writers!
In 2015 we published an article called 1129+ places That Pay For Your Writing. A year and a half later, this is still…
Also, I’d like to take a moment to brag that in this weekend’s reading queue I have This Too Shall Pass (fiction)- written by Milena Busquets and How to Pack Travel Smart for Any Trip (nonfiction)- written by Hitha Palepu.
If you’re wondering why I’m bragging it’s because I received both these books for free from Penguin Random House’s Blogging for Books program. Well, when I say free I mean have to write a 250 character book review on their website. 250 character, not 250 words. So I’m investing roughly five minutes of my time in exchange for the books.
I’m definitely getting the better deal. You could be too. All you have to do is sign up. Yes, you get to choose from a selection of books from a selection of genres.
Now I’m off to walk a few more laps around the pond. I’ve been sitting on my ass too long and my body feels rather stiff.
