This is the rundown of what I do when I have a migraine:

Eat Almonds

Light a Sandalwood incense

Breathe in lavender oil

Ignore stressful situations

Drink straight black coffee (reduces inflammation. I learned that in the Army)

Have sex (scientific studies have proven this to be true)

Drink wine (half a glass…not sh*t face drunk)

Tylenol Arthritis (recommended by my Chiropractor who says migraines stem from muscle tension) (this has been super effective)

Anti-nausea medicine (usually just an over the counter Alka-Seltzer Relief Chew)

Go to the Chiropractor

Stretching every day (my whole damn body and it feels amazing)

Walking at a fast pace for about a mile (bizarre, I know, but it helps for some reason)

Sleeping with no pillows

I just go down the list. I don’t take narcotics until I’ve had a migraine for three days in a row. That’s my desperation point. I’ve very rarely ever taken them. One of these on the list usually does the trick for me.
