We moved from the city, which is something we had planned on for several years, because the chaos and violence was and still is out of hand. People in the small town where I live are entirely different from the folks in the city. I can’t say I experienced fear itself but more so caution.

We finally decided to push up our original move date after one man stab another to death with a tree branch in the park across the street from our home. I would say I had become cautious of the feeling of desperation people in the city present.

I feel more at home here and completely agree with Ron. People here are hard working, mind their business- for the most part, and would give the shirts off their back if it came down to it. They’re my kind of very small crowd.
