Woman logs on to Medium to connect with stories, logs out stunned. While isolated at home for 261 days because of the Novel Coronavirus pandemic, an Iowa woman logged on to medium.com for the first time in over a year.

Seeking social interaction and an outlet, what she discovered stunned her — a feed engulfed by Medium writers writing Medium stories about Medium, regardless of what authors, publications, topics and tags she follows.

Because of the lack of depth and human spirit, the woman instead filled the void by eating a whole homemade cherry pie for breakfast.

“I just want to connect with humanity and there’s no better way to do that than through story,” she said during an exclusive interview.

The woman works remotely and lacks work/ life boundaries. She spends her days in her flannel robe.

“I’ll throw up if I eat any more pie ,” she added.
