It actually is about the money. I have the willpower to stick to a strict regime for internet use but the rest of my family isn’t and I need to respect that. Although my husband accrues paid vacation through his 9–5 gig, I do not and during current circumstances cannot afford to take a vacation.

My husband and I read the local Sunday newspaper in print but always skip the actual news. I would much prefer to invest in local journalism via an independently owned newspaper instead of the World Wide Web.

The World Wide Web and the internet is a way of life now and the internet is everywhere I go so why not utilize the money better spent elsewhere? Saving an extra $1,200 a year could afford me that annual vacation. Until then, I happily settle for $9 campsites across the state of Iowa where I live.
